Dancers traveling to Disney!

On April 14th  13 of our Company Dancers ages 9 - 17 will be traveling to Orlando Florida to take part in the Dance the Magic Spring Spectacular at Magic Kingdom on Saturday April 16th and Sunday April 17th.

The dancers had to audition for the parade and the dance showcase. They sent us an instructional video with notes. We had 2 months to get the parade choreography and showmanship down that Disney was looking for. Tons of dance schools from around the world audition and go to Disney to take part in the Dance the Magic Parade each year. We are ecstatic that our kids worked so hard to be a part of this and passed their audition to perform at the showcase as well.

They will be also be performing at the Spring Spectacular Dance Showcase on Saturday April 16th at Hollywood Studios in the NEW theatre of Beauty and the Beast! For the audition video we submitted our piece entitled "Ordinary People" choreography by one of our instructors Alexandra Lima. We were so excited when we got news they had been accepted! The dancers have worked very hard to earn their place in the parade and showcase and we are so happy to see them grow every day!

This is a huge opportunity for us and our dancers! We are always looking at new fun and professional adventures for our dancers to experience.

We have had rehearsals for 2 months now weekly. The kids are over the moon! They are happy to be part of a unique experience as well as getting to have some fun while we are out there! We have a large group of their parents and family coming as well which is always great to have their support! Not only will they be performing in front of thousands of people but its special that their parents and family can be a part of the magic!

We are the first dance school from Bermuda to be a part of Disney's Dance the Magic Spring Spectacular Parade and Showcase! We are also going to have some fun at the theme parks and take dance classes at Spotlight Dance Center. It will be a very productive busy weekend!

We take our company dancers away once a year. We have also been to New York where they have taken classes at Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center. We have dance connections in Canada as well. We are looking forward to taking advantage of that possibly next year.

Dancer Names: LaKeirah Cunningham, Haley Davis, Zoe DeSilva, Elon Francis, Shania Furbert, Skye Minors, Ava Moreno, Za'Kayza Parsons, X'achela Robinson, Sarah Skinner, Kristiana Smith, Yve Smith, and Jessie Thomas. We are sad that we will be missing one of our company dancers Jaida Steede for a school exam but she will be with us in spirit.
